FUSION / KATONG

A nostalgic fusion takes Fusion / Katong back to its roots as a Peranakan enclave in the early 20th century. The data-driven design devises unique individual nooks, combining the elegance of retro-materiality and contemporary style with an intimate dining experience.

VIRTUAL ART GALLERY

Centred around the appreciation of nature, the Tan Cheng Cheng Pavilion resonates with the theme of Tan's latest art collection; "Reimagination". This project consists of online exhibitions, web stores, and a video walkthrough featuring a custom-designed pavilion. The walkthrough explores how Art and Architecture can be used to tell a story.

SYMBIONT

The Symbiont is imagined as a future school. Along with a parametric facade and a biomimetic diagrid structure, it utilizes a central space to synthesize relationships, narratives and symbiotic interactions along an interconnected structure.

TERRACES

In order to soften the psychological impact of living in modern cities, the presence of nature was recognised as one of the key factors in reconnecting people with nature.

 

Imagined as a future house for millenials in 2030,  Park Terraces was conceived to weave park-like spaces among habitation, to dissolve the dichotomy between the idea of the park and the house. Wrapping the tower's structures in a vertical green that continues from the ground to its roof.

COURTYARDS

The house is designed as a quiet and tranquil sanctuary for a retired elderly couple to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Using the element of water, the house reflects the quiet lives of its occupants and dissects the public and the private with a perforated travertine wall.
